PS Marion

Earlier this year on Postcards we celebrated the 100th birthday of the Paddlesteamer "Marion". The vessel was restored from the water level up by enthusiasts from Mannum. She is the only wood fired, steam driven paddlesteamer with overnight accommodation left in the world. Next weekend is the official Centenary celebration at Mary Ann Reserve on the river at Mannum. There is a street parade on Saturday morning from 11:30, sailing and jet boats will compete and there'll be fireworks Saturday night. Sunday morning a vintage car parade arrives at 10am and the P.S.
